Hi there! My name is Faith Richards. I have been teaching at Hope Elementary since 1997. During that time, I have taught special education for grades K-5 (primarily grades 3-4) and most recently, third grade general education. I am looking forward to a new adventure in fourth grade this school year!
I decided on teaching as my future career when I was “playing school” as an 8 year old as I knew that I wanted to inspire others as my teachers had inspired me. I have my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Ball State University and my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Design from Indiana Wesleyan University.
I live with my two children. My son, Colton, is 15 years old and will be a sophomore this year. He loves basketball and riding his bike. My 12 year old daughter, Delaney, will be a sixth grader. She loves basketball and dance. Together, we enjoy our neighborhood walks and love going hiking at the state parks.
I am excited to build a relationship with your family as we have a great school year this year! I look forward to all that your kids will be teaching me this year and am hopeful that I am able to teach them a few things as well! 😉
